Rachel Bartholomuesz

Public Policy Deputy Digital Lead APAC, Airbnb

Rachel Bartholomeusz works in digital public policy for Airbnb across Asia Pacific and has a diverse background in journalism and law. In a previous role at the company she ran social media and content for Airbnb in Australia. Her idea for The Country Pub Project has become a multi-million dollar national campaign, helping to rejuvenate rural tourism and celebrate the outback hotels that are the lifeblood of local communities and so much a part of the romance of travel Down Under. Prior to Airbnb, Rachel worked as a journalist and was a founding team member of Feast, a multicultural food and travel magazine published by SBS, Australia's national foreign language broadcaster. It told the stories of the many migrant communities who call Australia home.

Rachel has also worked in refugee law and was an organising member of Mazi Mas, a pop-up restaurant initiative that provided employment and training for asylum seeker women. Rachel is admitted as a lawyer in Australia and holds honours degrees in law and history from the University of Sydney.
